TANA and TANA Foundation distributed masks in Gudivada to combat COVID-19. State Minister Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani) handed over masks to sanitation workers at the Municipal Office. The event was organized by TANA Foundation Trustee Venkat Yarlagadda, with municipal officials participating.
The North America Telugu Association (TANA) continues to recognize and appreciate the tireless efforts of medical staff serving COVID-19 patients. As part of this initiative, TANA recently organized a lunch program for the staff at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.
TANA President Jay Talluri, entrepreneur and philanthropist Neelima Talluri, along with Prithvi Chekuri, Ashok Banoth, and the New York TANA Team, participated in this event. The hospital staff expressed their gratitude to TANA for the thoughtful gesture.
Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, TANA distributed 5,000 masks in the Telugu states, focusing on police and healthcare workers in Rajahmundry. Later, masks were provided to the public, showcasing TANA's dedication to supporting the Telugu community during the crisis.
Under the leadership of TANA Foundation Treasurer Valleppalli S. Sasikanth, extensive relief efforts were carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recognizing the sacrifices of doctors, police officers, and sanitation workers who risked their lives to protect the public, Sasikanth took the initiative to support them. With the help of his friends, he distributed 50,000 masks and gloves across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to aid in the self-protection of medical personnel.
The TANA Southwest Austin Team organized a lunch program to appreciate and support the services of police officers assisting COVID-19 victims. Lunch was provided to the Texas Police Department by the Austin Team as a gesture of gratitude. The team expressed thanks to TANA President Jay Talluri, former President Satish Vemana, EVP Anjayya Chowdary Lavu, Secretary Ravi Potluri, and others for their support in making the program a success.
Gopal Seelamneni, a U.S. government official, partnered with the TANA Foundation during the COVID-19 crisis to conduct extensive relief activities. Spending around ₹1 crore, he distributed masks, sanitizers, groceries, and vegetables to villages, healthcare workers, police, journalists, and Brahmin families in Nandigama, Vijayawada, and nearby rural areas. His efforts supported thousands, showcasing his commitment to community welfare.
The TANA South California Team distributed COVID 19 relief packets to 50 students as part of their outreach efforts. Sridhar Satuluri, Vinod Burugupalli, and others led the initiative. With the support of TANA President Jay Talluri and Suresh Ainampudi, the team provided groceries to the students, earning appreciation for their efforts in supporting the community during challenging times.
The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) distributed lunch boxes to medical staff in New Jersey as a token of gratitude for their dedicated service to COVID-19 patients. The regional leaders, including Raja Kasukurthi, organized the distribution of 100 lunch boxes to the staff at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. Additionally, lunch boxes were provided to police and fire department personnel. TANA President Jay Talluri, Satish Vemana, and Lakshmi Devineni supported the initiative, ensuring its success, as noted by New Jersey TANA leaders.
The TANA Foundation and the Prabhala family distributed essential supplies to 15 Brahmin families at the Kailasagiri Temple in Kamalanagar, ECIL, Hyderabad. The event was coordinated by Ramu and Annapurna Prabhala, with support from Vikram Prabhala (Ohio), Raghuram Prabhala (New Jersey), Kumar Nethi (Virginia), and the Brahmanyam Group in Hyderabad.
