Under the leadership of Thagoor Mallineni, the International Coordinator of the Telugu Association of North America (TANA), several service initiatives have been conducted both in the U.S. and in India.
In collaboration with KCP Rotary Hospital and supported by TANA, a free mega eye camp was organized under the banner "Raithu Kosam TANA" (TANA for Farmers). The camp was held on October 20 at the Z.P. High School in Penamaluru, where over 400 individuals attended to get their eyes tested.
The camp provided free eye surgeries for those who required them and distributed eyeglasses to individuals in need.
The TANA New England Chapter hosted vibrant and joyous Diwali celebrations as part of its cultural events. This year’s Diwali event was held in the heart of Rhode Island, drawing attendees from all across New England.
The venue came alive with a spectacular display of light, music, and tradition, showcasing diverse cultural backgrounds. Families from all over New England gathered to participate in the festivities, which were filled with energy and excitement.
Diwali, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, was celebrated with grandeur. The event featured an enthusiastic parade, live cultural performances, traditional Indian dances, music, and an impressive fireworks display, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone present.
Ratan Tata, an extraordinary individual who left an indelible mark on India, is not only a pillar of the country’s industrial foundation but also a symbol of philanthropy, humility, and humanity. His profound influence has extended across multiple sectors including automotive, steel, IT, hospitality, and education, establishing him as one of the most respected business leaders worldwide.
To honor his exceptional legacy, the TANA New England Chapter organized a memorial event on October 20, where various IT leaders and entrepreneurs gathered to pay tribute and celebrate the remarkable life of Ratan Tata.
As part of TANA Foundation's Chayutha Program, scholarships were provided to 50 students from Vapulldigunta, Guntur District, on October 8. These scholarships, worth nearly 5 lakh rupees, were sponsored by Venkat Jillellavudi. During the event, he expressed his gratitude to TANA Foundation Chairman Shashikanth Valepalli, President Niranjan Shrungavarapu, and Coordinator Sreekanth Polavara for giving him the opportunity to support underprivileged students. The event was supervised by Upputuri Chinaramulu and organized by Bandi Nageswar Rao. The students and their families thanked TANA for the scholarships.
As part of TANA Foundation's initiative, a mega medical camp was jointly organized with Swacha on October 6 in Hyderabad, providing free medical services to over 550 underprivileged individuals. It is well known that the TANA Foundation organizes a free medical camp every first Sunday of the month, and this was the 8th time they assisted in organizing the camp. The camp was sponsored by Dr. Prasad.
(TANA) Mid-Atlantic Division successfully hosted a Meet and Greet program with Bharatiyam Satyavani on September 29. The event took place at the House of Biryani and Kababs in Norristown, attracting several attendees.
During the program, Satyavani spoke about the greatness of Bharatiyam culture and emphasized its uniqueness. She highlighted the importance of parents, along with organizations like TANA, taking proactive steps to ensure that Indian traditions, customs, and values are passed on to the younger generation.

For the first time in TANA's history, a Women's Premier League Cricket Tournament was held in Nashville, marking a historic milestone. This was a franchise-based tournament, similar to professional cricket leagues in India, making it a notable achievement.
The TANAAppalachian Division, in collaboration with the Nashville Women’s Cricket Club, organized this Women's Premier League. This initiative marks a new chapter in the development of women’s cricket, providing a professional platform to highlight the talent and passion of women cricketers.
As part of the Carolina Asia Fest held on September 28, the TANA Raleigh Chapter participated in the Dragon Boat Race. Organized annually by the Asian Focus of North Carolina, this event has seen TANA Raleigh Chapter's active participation for the past five years.
The competition brought together teams from neighboring towns like Cary, Morrisville, and Charlotte, including prominent participants from the Dragon Boat Association and first responders. The race witnessed an intense and spirited competition, with the TANA Raleigh Chapter showcasing their enthusiasm and teamwork.
