TANA Foundation organized a scholarship distribution event on August 3rd in Hyderabad as part of their charity initiative. A total of 50 female students received scholarships valued at approximately 7 lakh rupees. The scholarships were sponsored by Goutham Avaneni and his family.
During the event, Goutham Amarneni expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to support underprivileged students by distributing these scholarships
The North America Telugu Association (TANA), under its leadership, continues to organize various cultural, welfare, and community-building programs for the Telugu community in the United States. Their efforts focus not just on festivals and celebrations but also on providing training and support for the community.
On August 3, 2024, TANA organized the TANA Cultural Competition 2024 at the NUI Auditorium in Neverville, Illinois. This event aimed at bringing out the talents of local artists and performers, offering them a platform to showcase their skills. The competition was a part of TANA's ongoing initiatives to foster unity among Telugu people and to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Telugu community.
The 68th International Virtual Meeting of TANA's Literary Division, held on June 30th, focused on "Inspiring Biographies of Eminent Personalities." Dr. Prasad Totakoor highlighted that biographies provide insights into personal lives and the social, cultural, and political conditions of their times. He emphasized the importance of biographies and autobiographies in Telugu literature.
TANA New England Chapter organized grand Father's Day celebrations in Boston, with a large turnout of expatriates. The event featured performances by local artists and school students, along with fun competitions. Community leaders shared their thoughts, and families enjoyed cake cutting and festivities together.
TANA, in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh Government, organized the "TANA School" student enrollment event in Washington D.C. Books were distributed to parents to raise awareness about school management and curriculum. TANA School Chairman Banuprakash Maguluri emphasized the importance of preserving language, culture, and traditions.
TANA California Patasala team organized Telegu Patasala anniversary and awarded the kids who are graduated for the previous year.
The 67th International Virtual Meeting of TANA's World Literary Forum, held on April 28, focused on "Proverbs, Idioms, Anecdotes, and Short Stories in Telugu Literature." The event was engaging and entertaining. TANA President Niranjan Shrungavaravu highlighted the importance of preserving Telugu proverbs and welcomed the participants.
The 11th Annual School Celebration (Vasantotsavam), organized by TANA and BATA, was a grand success with 500 participants. The event featured performances like songs, poems, skits, and devotional speeches, highlighting Telugu culture. The venue was beautifully decorated, creating a festive atmosphere.
TANA, in partnership with LEAD the Path Foundation, organized a food packing event for hungry children through Feed My Starving Children. Dr. Uma R. Katti and volunteers packed over 21,168 meals. The event focused on helping children in famine-stricken countries like Ghana and Nicaragua.
