TANA has significantly contributed to Telugu literature by publishing unique works. Velcheru Narayana Rao promoted Telugu literature and language in America. His essays, compiled in Telugu Literature – New Perspectives, reflect his scholarly work.
TANA North Region’s first "Chess and Caroms" event on March 17th at Sri Venkateswara Temple, Novi, MI, saw over 100 participants from Michigan and Canada. TANA North Coordinator Neelima Manne thanked the Telugu community for their support. The event was a memorable success, with participants of all ages.
TANA-sponsored Team USA Sporty Divas won the Championship with determination and courage. Thanks to TANA leaders Raja Kasukurthi, Naga Panchumarthi, and Tagore Mallineni for their support. Appreciation to the players and their families for their dedication and encouragement.
TANA New England Representative Krishna Prasad Sompalli and Trustee Srinivas Yenduri organized service activities in New London, Connecticut, on January 21. The TANA team provided hot meals to 150 homeless people during heavy snowfall. The recipients expressed gratitude and hoped for more such initiatives.
A mega medical camp organized jointly by TANA Foundation and Svechha was held in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, providing free medical services to 600 people. The free medical camp is conducted on the first Sunday of every month, and this marks the 5th time TANA Foundation has assisted in organizing the camp. TANA Foundation Chairman Shashikant Vallepalli and his wife Priyanka Vallepalli served as sponsors for the camp..
The Pittsburgh Indoor Cricket Tournament, organized annually by P.I.C.L., took place from January 12 to March 9, 2024, under the supervision of Suresh Racha. TANA sponsored the final match between Rangers and Alpha Cricket teams on March 9, 2024, held on International Women's Day. The match featured trophy and cash awards presented by the players' wives.
A free mega eye camp was organized in Rangannagudem, Krishna district, under TANA’s leadership, with support from the Uyur Rotary Eye Hospital and TANA Foundation Chairman Shashikanth Vallepalli. Eye exams were conducted, and surgeries and glasses were recommended. A meeting, chaired by Alla Venkata Gopala Krishna Rao, was held with local residents and beneficiaries. He praised TANA’s efforts and suggested scholarships for deserving students in local villages.
The 65th literary meeting by TANA's Literary Division was held on February 25 as part of the monthly online event. Titled "Today's Avadhanulas Reflecting on the Literary Excellence of Past Masters," it was inaugurated by TANA President Niranjan Shrungavarapu. Dr. Prasad Totakura highlighted contributions from both Telugu states. The event was a great success and well-received.
TANA launched the "Vande Vishva Bharatham" peace yatra in Gaborone, Botswana, as part of a global initiative across 100 countries. The concluding session will take place at the TANA Maha Sabha in 2025. Students from Vallapuram village, Vizianagaram, participated in the yatra under TANA's leadership.
