On March 11, 2022, the TANA South Central team organized a grand celebration of International Women's Day in Saint Louis, Missouri. The event was organized by TANA South Central Regional Coordinator Kishore Yarlagadda and Women's Coordinator Kiranmayi Bitram.
TANA President Anjayya Chowdhary extended his Women’s Day wishes to all attendees and praised the theme "Break the Bias" for the celebration, highlighting the importance of empowering women in all aspects of life.
The event was supported by various community members including Venkat Bitram, Kishan Bagam, Ram Kolluru, Venkat Gouni, Ramakrishna Krishnaswami, Naresh Anathu, and Naresh Jasti, who helped with the registration area.
Held at the Local Hindu Temple Community Center, the celebration saw the participation of key figures such as Dr. Rajyalakshmi Naidu, the President of the Hindu Temple, TANA President Anjayya Chowdhary, Community Services Coordinator Raja Kasukurthi, Dr. Kurmanadh Chadalawada (the 2017 TANA Conference Convener), and local TANA leaders including Raja Suryapaneeni, Vijay Sakshi, and Murali Puttagunta.
The event successfully highlighted the significance of women’s empowerment and the ongoing efforts by TANA to contribute to social progress in the community.
On March 3, 2022, as part of its ongoing efforts to support the educational pursuits of Telugu students, the TANA Foundation organized a scholarship distribution event in Dallas, Texas. For the past fifteen years, TANA has been conducting this program to assist deserving students with scholarships.
During the event, 18 Telugu students were awarded scholarships to support their academic journeys. The event took place at Maitree’s Restaurant in Dallas. TANA Foundation Chairman Venkataramana Yarlagadda expressed that the organization's various initiatives have brought significant benefits to the community.
The program was attended by several notable figures, including Dallas Regional Representative Satish Komman, TANA Foundation Secretary Shashikanth Vallepalli, Treasurer Srikanth Polavarapu, and former presidents Prasad Totakoor and Lokesh Naidu, along with members of the TANA Foundation team. The event was organized and led by the Foundation’s dedicated team, ensuring that the deserving students received their awards.
Dr. Prasad Kakkarla also provided valuable assistance in the scholarship distribution process.
This annual initiative continues to be a cornerstone of TANA’s commitment to promoting education and empowering the next generation of Telugu students.
As part of the TANA Chaitanya Sravanthi initiative, a mega cancer screening camp and cultural activities were organized in S. Kota, near Visakhapatnam. The event saw overwhelming participation, with over 10,000 attendees from the local community and surrounding areas.
During the event, TANA distributed farmer protection kits to approximately 3,000 farmers, offering them essential tools and equipment for their agricultural safety. Additionally, 300 power sprayers were provided to assist in agricultural tasks.
The event featured cancer screenings, which played a crucial role in early detection and awareness of the disease. It has been recognized as one of the largest TANA Chaitanya Sravanthi events, drawing significant attention for its impact on public health.
Cultural programs were also held, which were well received by the audience and added a vibrant touch to the event. The TANA team, led by Krishna Gompaka, was praised for the successful execution of the event. This remarkable initiative provided both health benefits and entertainment, making it a memorable occasion for the residents of S. Kota.
As part of the TANA Cheyutha initiative, the TANA Executive Committee distributed ₹10,000 each to 35 underprivileged students at an event held on the premises of Jnana Bharathi Educational Institutions in Kalyandurgam town.
Speaking at the occasion, TANA President Anjayya Chowdary Lavu highlighted that the TANA Cheyutha program has provided financial assistance to over 1,000 underprivileged students. TANA Foundation Trustee Gude Purushotham Chowdary contributed ₹3.5 lakhs in memory of his father, Gude Venkataramappa, to support 30 students as part of this initiative.
The beneficiaries, along with TANA leaders such as President Yarlagadda Venkata Anjayya Chowdary Lavu, Chairman Purushotham Chowdary, TANA Mahasabha Convener Ravi Potluri, Chaitanya Sravanthi Coordinator Sunil Pantra, and Jnana Bharathi Educational Institutions’ management led by Ramesh Babu Modupalli, expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the support.
The event also featured cultural programs led by artist team leader Tarimella Raju, who captivated the audience with their performances.
A Free Mega Eye Medical Camp was inaugurated in Chapari village, Kalyandurg Rural, Anantapur district, under the auspices of the TANA Foundation Trust and Varsha Hospital MD, Supraja Chowdary (Kadapa). Speaking at the event, TANA Foundation Trust Treasurer Purushotham Chowdary mentioned that around 350 people from Chapari and nearby villages attended the camp for eye treatment.
The camp was graced by Chapari village Sarpanch Hanumanthu, MPTC Lakshmikant, and TANA Foundation Trust President Ajay Chowdary Lavu as chief guests.
The event saw active participation from TANA Foundation Trust leaders, YSRCP leaders, party workers, and free mega eye care medical officers. The initiative aimed to provide accessible and quality eye care services to rural communities.
As part of the TANA Chaitanya Sravanthi initiative, several service programs were launched under the leadership of TANA Executive Committee member Anjayya Chowdary Lavu. As part of this effort, TANA leadership extended its support to permanently resolve the water issues of the residents of Avulenna village in Beluguppa Mandal.
TANA Foundation Trustee Gude Purushotham Chowdary, along with his friends, contributed ₹10 lakhs for the construction of a water plant. Upon the completion of the water plant, the TANA Executive Committee inaugurated it in the presence of local MLA Paiyavula Keshav.
Speaking on the occasion, TANA President Anjayya Chowdary stated that this initiative was aimed at addressing the needs of the village residents
TANA Foundation, in collaboration with the Samineni Foundation, distributed solar lights to students of the Gopalapuram Government School in Khammam district on December 31. The distribution was done by Samineni Nageshwar Rao. The initiative aimed to help students during the summer season, particularly in areas experiencing power outages, ensuring they can continue their studies without interruptions. TANA President Anjayya Chowdary Lavu was also involved in this project.
Venkata Subbarao Maddukuri, the founder of Andhra Pradesh's compost plants, organized an awareness program on the new process of organic waste management at his residence in Abbeepet, Vijayawada. He shared insights on the latest methods, emphasizing that Vijayawada ranked first at the national level in cleanliness and sanitation, as reflected in the results of the national survey.
