Former TANA Foundation Chairman Gogineni Srinivas, with his support, organized free medical camps in his native village of Gollapalli in the Nuzvid constituency under the TANA Chaitanya Sravanthi initiative. The camps were conducted in collaboration with Grace Cancer Foundation Vijayawada and Top Stars Hospital, offering free cancer screenings and other health check-ups.
The village residents warmly welcomed the TANA leaders who participated in the event. Prominent attendees included Gogineni Srinivas, TANA's next President Srungavarapu Niranjan, Talluri Jay Shekhar, TANA Secretary Vemuri Satish, and TANA Foundation Trustees Samineni Ravi and Vishwanath Nayanapati.
The program received significant appreciation from the villagers, reflecting TANA’s commitment to community welfare and healthcare accessibility.
These eye camps were set up with the goal of providing essential eye care services to the local community, including screenings, check-ups, and treatment, ensuring that people in remote areas had access to necessary medical care. This initiative reflects TANA's commitment to serving underprivileged areas and improving healthcare accessibility.
The TANA Telugu Propagation Committee organized the TANA Telugu Tejam Competitions on June 4-5, 2022, via Zoom. These competitions were inaugurated by Chinasatyam Veernapu, Chairman of the Telugu Propagation Committee. Special thanks were given to Dr. Prasad Totakura for conceptualizing the event, as well as Satish Chokkapu, Venkataramana, and Dallas Regional Representative Kommana for their valuable support.
The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) organized the "TANA School Annual Celebration" on May 26, 2022, at Sanken Meadow Park, New York. The event was a resounding success, with nearly 100 children, along with parents, teachers, and guests, participating in the vibrant celebration.
The program was coordinated by TANA New York Chapter Coordinator Dilip Kumar Musunuru, and the TANA School New York City team, led by teachers Krishna Veni Kondamadhugula, Hemalatha Borra, Lasya Reddy Marada, and Ramya Prabha Bondalapatti.
During the event, TANA President Anjaya Chowdhury expressed congratulations and best wishes to both the children and teachers. Special messages were sent by TANA School President Nagaraju Nalajula and former TANA President Jay Sekhar Talluri, recognizing the efforts of the school administrators.
Senior TANA leaders, including Raghava Rao Polavarapu, Tirupnani Tirumala Rao, Sumanth Ramchetti, and Harishankar, also attended and spoke during the event, emphasizing the importance of Telugu language and culture. The event highlighted the commitment to nurturing Telugu education for future generations.

The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) organized a vibrant picnic event in Charlotte, North Carolina, at Green Manor, under the leadership of the Charlotte Chapter. The event, celebrated with traditional delicacies, attracted around 300 participants, bringing much excitement to the outdoor gathering after a long time.
The guests enjoyed a variety of authentic dishes such as Ariselu, Burelu, Purnalu, Ulavacharu, and other special treats. Fun-filled activities like raffle draws and bingo games were also organized for the children, with prizes for the winners.
The picnic allowed Telugu community members to come together and enjoy a day full of fun, food, and fellowship. Naga Panchamarthi, Purushottam Chowdhary, Thagore Mallineni, and others actively participated in making the event a memorable experience for everyone.
The Telugu Literary and Cultural Association (T.L.C.A.) and TANA New York organized a grand Mother's Day celebration on This event, dedicated to honoring women, witnessed participation from around 300 women, making it a huge success.
The celebration included a variety of activities like dance performances, fashion shows, raffle prizes, cooking competitions, and fun-filled games, all of which brought great joy to the attendees. Sadhana Pail, Neelima Vidiyala, Mamata Reddy, Dr. Bharathi Reddy, and Kalpana Vanam served as the judges for the fashion show.
Among the distinguished guests were Senior Telugu film actress Geetha, North Hempstead Town Clerk Ragini Srivatsav, Assistant Community Services Commissioner Harry Brar, and Long Island Indian Association President Bina Sabhaapathi, all of whom were honored by the T.L.C.A. and TANA New York team.
The event also featured speeches from Krishna Muddipathla, Chairman of the Telugu Sarvaswat Cultural Association, who addressed the gathering, and Jayaprakash Injapuri, President of T.L.C.A., who honored local women leaders for their consistent support.
In a special moment, Ragini Srivatsav presented Anulekhanam to the T.L.C.A. executive members. Members Madhavi Korukonda, Sudha Rani Mannava, and Arundhati Adapu from T.L.C.A. also contributed to the success of the event, which was marked by unity, celebration, and cultural pride.
The TANA Team Square organized a 5K Run Fundraising Event in Raleigh in April 2022 to support Telugu community members in need across the United States. This event was aimed at raising funds for various assistance programs by the TANA Team Square, which has been consistently helping Telugu people in difficult situations.
TANA President Anjaya Chowdary and TANA Team Square Chairman Suresh Kakkarla participated in the event, alongside other TANA leaders, showing their continued commitment to supporting the community. The fundraising event was successfully carried out with the leadership of several key individuals, including Naga Panchamarthi, Trustee Purushotham Chowdary Gude, and Media Coordinator Thagore Mallinenni.
The event was particularly led by a core team of volunteers, including Ram Allu, Kedar Badishetti, Venkat Kurra, Shanti Chundi, Smita, Ramesh Tummalapalli, Sripad Kasu, Rajesh Yarlagadda, and Sridhar. Their efforts were pivotal in making the event a success, raising essential funds for TANA’s humanitarian projects and initiatives.
This event underscored the spirit of community service and the dedication of the TANA Team Square to improving the lives of fellow Telugu people in need.
The TANA World Literary Forum, under the auspices of the North America Telugu Association (TANA), successfully organized the “Pustaka Mahodyamam” (Book Festival) in Dallas on April 2, 2022. The event began with the devotional song, "Mā Telugu Talliki Nū Koṭi Ante Mallē Pūdaṁ," setting the tone for the celebration of literature and the Telugu language.
Dr. Beera Sundararau, a renowned writer and literary figure, along with Atthaloori Vijayalakshmi, a distinguished author, were honored as guests of the event. The program was presided over by TANA Past President and TANA World Literary Forum Committee Chairman Chinasatyam Veernapu, along with other literary stalwarts and TANA leadership, including Subramanyam, Dr. Prasad Totakura, and Jonnalagadda, Chandrahass Maddukuri, Ananth Mallavarapu, Nagendra Raju Nalajula.
The event highlighted the growth and impact of the Telugu language, especially in the Texas state, where the number of Telugu speakers has been steadily increasing, contributing to the region's development. There was an emphasis on the role of literature and cultural celebrations in enhancing the legacy of Telugu.
Dr. Beera Sundararau and other dignitaries expressed their admiration for the Telugu-speaking community's contributions to preserving and promoting the language. They also praised the Texas Governor, who had officially declared Ugadi Day (April 2) as Telugu Heritage Day, acknowledging the significance of the festival and the language.
Special thanks were given to various supporters, including Kalyani Tadimeti, Veera Lenin, Aruna Theliyajaru, Jyothi, and Venkata Tadiboyina, among others, who contributed to the event's success. The gathering celebrated not only the Telugu language but also the cultural heritage and commitment of the community towards literary excellence.
