TANA leaders participated in the semi-Christmas celebrations held at the Krishna Milk Union in Vijayawada, organized by Chairman Chalasani Anjaneyulu at Lenin Center. TANA President Anjaya Chowdary Lavu, Foundation President Yarlagadda, Services Coordinator Raja Kasukurthi, and TANA Sports Coordinator Gadda Shashank were among those who attended the event. The celebrations also included the distribution of awards to various individuals.
In Rajamahendravaram, at the Padmavathi Cheviti, Mooka Ashram School in Ratnampet, the North American Telugu Association (TANA) organized a service event. Under the leadership of TANA Libraries Coordinator Sathish Chundru, the event involved distributing shoes and fruits to hearing-impaired students. TANA President Anjayya Chowdary Lavu, along with other dignitaries like former Guda Chairman and TDP State General Secretary Ganni Krishna Kojarayya, attended the event. Several TANA representatives, including Janardhan Mamillapudi, Raja Kasukurthi, Shashank Yarlagadda, and others, were present.
TANA organized the prestigious "TANA Kalashala Abhinandana" event at Shubham Vant Center in Frisco on December 21. The program was led by TANA DFIDW Regional Representative Satish Komma, with a welcome address and a prayer song by music guru Sameera Sripada. TANA Kalashala Chairman Dr. Rajesh Adusumilli and Co-Chair Malathi Nagabhair presented details about the academy's activities. Over the past five years, TANA, in collaboration with Padmavathi Women's University, has successfully conducted courses in Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, and music, with more than 400 students enrolled.
TANA President Anjayya Chowdary Lavu honored Srimati Ghantasala Seetha Mahalakshmi, daughter of Pingali Venkayya, the creator of India's national flag, in Guntur district. She was presented with a memento, shawl, and floral garlands, and was respectfully greeted with a foot salute. Lavu emphasized the significance of celebrating India's 75th Independence Day and the centenary of the national flag's design, commemorating Pingali Venkayya's contribution. He expressed that meeting Seetha Mahalakshmi personally was a rare and fortunate opportunity, strengthening the honor of TANA.
TANA, in collaboration with Tirupati's Sri Padmavati University, organized the TANA Book Mahodyamam. TANA President Anjayya Chowdary Lavu emphasized the importance of the Telugu language and literature, noting TANA's decades-long effort to promote the development of Telugu literature. He highlighted the initiative of gifting Telugu books to encourage reading and preserve the culture. Srinivas Chigurumalli discussed the importance of reading books for human development and cultural preservation. Professor Duvvuru Jamuna, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, also spoke on the role of books in language development.
TANA's Cultural Division successfully organized a Kuchipudi seminar in December. TANA Arts and Classical National Chair Padmaja Bevar noted that more youth participated than expected, and the enthusiasm and dedication shown by the younger generation in understanding Kuchipudi impressed the gurus. TANA President Anjayya Chowdary Lavu's inspiring speech inaugurated the seminar. Dr. Deerdasi Vijay Bhaskar, the organizer, highlighted the significance of Kuchipudi, while Shravan Vedagiri's Ganesh Prayer performance captivated the audience. The seminar, led by Kuchipudi guru Swathi Atluri, featured Dr. Yashoda Thakur as the keynote speaker, who discussed the fundamental aspects of Kuchipudi.
TANA organized a COVID-19 vaccination drive in Dallas under the leadership of Regional Co Coordinator Satish Komma. The program vaccinated 400 children aged between 5 and 11 years and provided booster doses to 50 adults. The event saw participation from Nagaraju Nalajula, Srikanth Polavarapu, Veernapu, Paramesh Devineni, Lokesh Naidu, Sridevi Ghatamaneni, Sambayya Doda, Murali Venna, Kumar Nandigam, Rajesh Adusumalli, Satish Kotapati, and others.
On November 26th, TANA President Anjayya Chowdary Lavu participated in the centenary celebrations of the "Father of White Revolution," Dr. Verghese Kurien, organized by Krishna Milk Union in Vijayawada. He praised Kurien's services as inspiring, particularly highlighting the impact of his work on dairy farmers in the two Telugu states.
Under the auspices of the North America Telugu Association (TANA) Dallas, a charitable event was organized in collaboration with "Tisco Family Services" and the "North Texas Food Bank" in November. In the challenging times when many have lost their jobs and are struggling to survive, TANA, under the leadership of regional representative Satish Komma and the TANA team, came forward with the slogan "Annadatha Sukhibhava, Manava Sevae Madhava Sevae" (Service to humanity is service to God).
