The event honored achievers like Dr. Prameela Motupalli (medical services), Vindhya Varanasi (women's cricket), and Himani Devabhaktuni (academic excellence). Chief guest Kristine Howard, along with cultural performances and inspirational speeches, highlighted the event.
TANA organized a successful yoga and meditation workshop in New York on March 1, led by yoga guru Sanjay Attada. The event emphasized the health benefits of yoga and meditation in reducing stress, improving mental peace, and preventing illnesses. TANA President Jay Talluri praised the efforts of the organizers and encouraged hosting more such initiatives.
The TANA "Mana Voori Kosam" 5K Run organized by the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) in the Bay Area was a resounding success. Held in Mountain House, the event saw enthusiastic participation from children and adults alike. Around 150 individuals joined the run, making it a grand success, as noted by TANA leaders. Members from the Bay Area Telugu Association (BATA), local schools, and organizations like Virijallu and Asha Jyothi also actively participated in the event.
The TANA West Team organized a successful Health Walk and Hiking program at Mission Peaks, promoting health and fitness. The event, led by Venkat Koganti and Rajaneekanth Kakarlapudi, saw active participation from community members, emphasizing wellness and unity.
TANA (Telugu Association of North America) successfully conducted a CPR health training program on February 29 at the SV Temple in Novi, Detroit, in collaboration with the Novi Fire Department. The event provided emergency response training and witnessed active participation from TANA leaders and community members.
The TANA West Team successfully organized a Will Trust Estate Planning session in Milpitas, California. Jason L. Pinter, with 20+ years of experience in estate planning, provided valuable insights. The event saw significant community participation and received support from TANA President Jay Talluri and former presidents. Key contributors included Satish Vemuri, Rajanikant Kakarla, Bhakta Balla, and Venkat Koganti.
Under the TANA (Telugu Association of North America) Cares initiative, TANA leaders in Mississippi organized a charitable event. They distributed food to approximately 350 homeless and underprivileged individuals in Jackson, spreading kindness and support within the community.
The TANA Young Tarang 2020 Festival was held on February 4, 2020, at KLU University, jointly organized by NATA, TANA Women's Division, KLU Alumni Association, and Jignasa. Students from colleges across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana participated in contests showcasing literature, dance, music, cultural heritage, and progressive arts. A mock parliament on CAA, NRC, and NPR was also conducted, highlighting student awareness and engagement. The event celebrated the rich traditions of the Telugu states and was a grand success.
The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) organized an Immigration Conference Call on February 2, 2020, featuring attorneys Rahul Reddy and Rebecca Chen. The session addressed key topics like Senate Bill 386, F1 visa mistakes, H1B lottery registration, and Day 1 CPT issues.
