Estate Planning is a subject that is very important but not very well understood by many of us and as part of TANA community outreach & diversity programs, TANA WEST hosted a workshop on "Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning" for the benefit of community that can help better understand and learn the benefits of properly protecting our estate and legacy for our loved ones. The workshop was conducted on Saturday Oct 22nd, 2016 at Swagat Restaurant, Milpitas, CA presented by Swapna Anthoor of Anthoor Law Firm and it was a grand success!
The event kicked off with Chairperson, TANA Diversity, Ram Thota's welcome note inviting the audience and the presenter Attorney Swapna Anthoor.
Swapna Anthoor introduced her Law firm and briefed about the areas of her expertise and practice and lead the presentation on Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning. Spanning a length of 60 minutes, the presentation covered a vast array of items ranging from basic estate planning to complex irrecoverable trusts and estate planning in India.
The audience enjoyed the presentation thoroughly which was very informative and were happy about the coverage of a whole range of items in such a short amount of time.
Following the presentation the floor was open for an interactive Q&A session and Swapna Anthoor covered all the audience questions for about an hour.
Later she was honored by the Regional Coordinator of TANA, Sateesh Vemuri & TANA West Team and Satheesh talked about TANA being the oldest and first organization that has been in service of Telugu community for the past forty years.
The workshop concluded with a thank you note by Diversity Chair, Ram Thota to the Workshop presenter Swapna Anthoor for sharing her wonderful knowledge, all the workshop attendees and volunteers for making this event a grand success.
