  • Youngest of three children born into an agricultural family in Krishna District.
  • Living in Dallas for past 7 years with wife Dr. Hima. TANA life member since 2006.
  • Blessed with two wonderful kids Sathvik (6 Yrs) and Swara (3 Yrs).
  • Primary education at N.S.M. Public School, Vijayawada; Best Outgoing Student award for the class of 1989.
  • MBBS degree from Sri Siddhartha Medical College and Research Institute of Bangalore University.
  • Executive Masters in Health Services Management from Columbia University in New York.
  • MS in Health Informatics from University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey.
  • Physician who works at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, one of the Top 10 pediatric hospitals in the country.
  • Project Director for major healthcare projects in NewYork City. Had privilege of working with visionaries who are currently in the coveted positions of National Coordinator of Health Information Technology and CDC Director.
  • Entrepreneur who owns an Indian restaurant in Dallas and is now involved in development of a web-based healthcare startup.
Hobbies and interests:
  • Accomplished classical dancer who started learning Kuchipudi at the age of 8. Performed all over India from remote villages in Andhra Pradesh to major cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
  • During school days, selected to represent Andhra Pradesh at International Children’s Festival in Kerala.
  • Continues to nurture his passion for dance by working with dance schools in Dallas and other parts of US.
  • As Manabadi teacher, teaches Telugu language classes for young children at his home during weekends.
 Community Service Activities:
  • TANA activities: Strong supporter of social and cultural programs of TANA; performed and organized various Telugu cultural programs for TANA over last several years.
  • Fundraiser to TANA: has been a sponsor for various social and cultural events organized by TANA. Actively networked to raise funds for various TANA events including the upcoming TANA National Convention.
  • As Founding Member of Viswa Saadhaka foundation, striving to enhance social awareness and education in the younger generation in Andhra Pradesh.
  • Local Organizations: Over the years supported TANTEX, Vidyadaanam, TDF/Bathukamma, Natyanjali Kuchipudi Dance School, Natyom, Manabadi and many others organizations.
My Goals and Objectives as TANA Regional Representative:

  • Mother Teresa said “if you have no peace, it is because you have forgotten that we belong to each other.”  I believe and will strive for this sense and pride of ‘Oneness’ among Telugu communities in Southwest region.
  • To reach out and understand the needs and aspirations of Telugu community; and design programs and services to meet those needs.
  • Work in unison with other organizations to organize eminent social and cultural activities that will promote and nurture Telugu language, culture and traditions for this generation and future generations.
  • Review, revitalize and implement TANA activities in the Southwest region that will enhance TANA’s focus on its mission to support social, cultural and education needs of Telugu community.
