| TANA 2005 Food Committee |
| |
The "Annapurnas" of Detroit Telugu Community are cheerfully and enthusiastically getting ready to welcome you at TANA 2005, with delicious and sumptuous meals.
We hope you’ll carry away bags of fond memories and gastronomic experiences from this epicurean delight. We have compiled a menu using bountiful resources provided by Mother Nature. Our menu consists of appetizers, which will tempt your eye and tease your palate. We have typical Andhra main dishes that will invoke nostalgic memories and are in line with our theme "PALLI VATAVARANAM".
Trust your memory bank of flavors and taste, which you grew up with, and as you visualize your menu, your mental invision will actually happen in your plate.
We are also in tune with the present atmosphere of globalization, which has produced fusion cooking. In this spirit, we will present you with some delightfully spicy Chinese Indian Dishes.
Our Youth is our Heritage. In line with this, the youth are sharing our nostalgic old world country food with us at regular meals and having a banquet of their own with world-class cuisine of Thai and Middle Eastern.
We are planning to create a condusive, harmonious friendly atmosphere amongst them by giving them an opportunity to exclusively have a dining hall for themselves for both days.
The young kids, apples of our eyes will have meals of Pastas & Fried Chicken.
Your sweet tooth will be satisfied with mouth-watering sweets and desserts. Do not blame us if you end up in the Dentist’s chair instead of being rewarded by the tooth fairy.
The health nuts will have plenty of nuts, fruits and dairy.
Last but not least, the late night snackers are not left behind; we have snacks and coffee to keep you chirpy.
As you know, preparing a meal is one aspect and service the other. So it is our goal to not only provide delicious food, but to surround you with courteous, considerate and harmonious atmosphere.
With this, we hope that, even the most challenging critique will excuse the imperfections that are from time to time unavoidable.
Saranya Mandava.
