Inauguration Friday 6:00 PM by Detroit Institute of Arts officials Preview followed by Inauguration
Drawing Competition Saturday 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

ARTS & CRAFTS Competitions For Children
 
TANA ARTS & CRAFTS committee will be conducting a Drawing competition & Craft competition during the conference for each age group listed below.
 
Drawing Competition: Craft Competition:
AGE GROUPS: 11-14 and 15-18 AGE GROUPS: 11-14 and 15-18
DATE: July 2nd 2005 DATE: July 3rd 2005
TIME: 1:00PM - 4:00PM TIME: 1:00PM - 3:00PM
 
Interested children should send in the registration by June 15th. The registration form will be available under ARTS &CRAFTS section on the TANA web site. Craft competition will be on making a greeting card. Materials for the competitions will be provided by ART & CRAFTS committee.

Prizes will be awarded for the First and Second place winners for each competition in each age group.

Certificates will be awarded for the third prize winners.

Children's Drawing and craft competition guidelines
Age must be between 11 and 18 Years old by July 1st 2005.
There will be two age groups 11to 14 years and 15 to 18 years
All registration forms should be completed and postmarked by June 15th, 2005 or should be received online by June 15th 2005. Due to space and budget constraints only 1st 100 registrations will be accepted.
Judges will decide three winners in each age group
First, second and third prizes will be awarded in each age group
Arts & Crafts committee/judges decisions will be final.
 
Guidelines for accepting Arts & Crafts from local artists for display
ARTS & CRAFTS committees aim is to serve all non commercial artists to the best of their ability with the resources available by displaying their art in the exhibition. Please be timely and cooperate with the committee.
Committee will accept up to two pieces from any non commercial artists due to space constraints.
Committee will not take any responsibility to transport Art to and from the conference center due to limited budget and no insurance coverage.
Committee will not take any responsibility for stolen or damaged art pieces. However committee will make every effort to secure the pieces from damage or theft to the best of their ability.
Artists need to send in the photographs by mail or online no later than June 1st 2005 for committee to select the art pieces to be displayed. Selections will be based on overall TANA theme.
Decision will be notified in writing by June 30th 2005. All decisions are final.
All selected art pieces will be accepted at the conference center (ARTS & CRAFTS Booth) and will be returned at the end of the conference.
Committee will decide the display location and method due to space and resource limitations.
Committee will reserve the right to stop accepting the requests at any time depending on the demand and resources available for display.
